Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in the first session
when I see a therapist?
The first session is designed to get to know you and your background. We will be able to tell if we are a good fit too. I will ask questions about your past, your family of origin, your wellness practices, and so forth. We will also discuss your goals for therapy and long term plans for where you want to be. It will be a relaxing, private environment.
I offer in-person and telehealth sessions via a HPAA compliant platform.
How much does it cost?
The first session (and perhaps the second) is an evaluation and takes just a little longer than subsequent sessions. There is more work outside of the session for me as well. That session is $200. Subsequent sessions are $170 for 50 minutes, and then I charge for each 5 minute increment after that. I accept cash, checks, credit cards, HSA, and LDS bishop pay. If your LDS bishop is paying for the sessions, you will need to sign a Release of Information with his info so that I can talk to him about billing.
I do not accept insurance, but can give you a Superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
