About Me

I am a Salt Lake based Clinical Social Worker, and was born Salt Lake and reared in Los Angeles. I completed a Master in Social Work from the University of Utah, a MS from the University of Pennsylvania, and my doctorate is from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.

Over the years, I have developed my gift of diagnosis which helps me to understand my patients in an accurate and easy to understand manner for them. Then we grieve together the past and implement interventions and boundaries for a healthy future. Psychotherapy is proven to be more enduring than drug therapy, and my approach towards treating my patients is to avoid medication where possible.

I specialize in sexuality (porn, addiction, ED/impotence, orgasmic disorders, same-sex attraction, incest, infidelity), narcissism issues, anxiety disorders (anxiety, OCD, PTSD, phobias), forgiveness, and childhood abuse. I am sensitive to LDS-related issues with sexual and marital conditions. This includes resolving conflicts between spirituality & sexuality, being gay in an LDS community, disclosing infidelity, sex and porn addiction among LDS, and discretion in therapy.

I enjoy working with the severely and persistently mentally ill. I also do therapy in Spanish.  In practice for 19 years
